My client, a busy Family run used car operation in Braintree is looking for a Workshop Controller who is fully qualified to level 3 Vehicle Technician to join their existing, experienced team. You will be in charge of running the Workshop on a daily basis as well as working on the vehicles when needed. You will ideally have main dealer experience, although candidates with solid backgrounds from the independent sector will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities -
Ensure parts are received as ordered through efficient communication with the parts department and tagging parts if required.
Ensure the work outlined on the repair order is performed with efficiency and accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Use initiative to determine if additional safety or service work is required by thorough examination while keeping the Service Team informed if additional work is or is not required.
Ensure all documentation is maintained accurately as per company defined procedures and integrated systems.
Maintain communication with all departments regarding repair time scales.
Keep the workshop area clean and tidy and ensure all tools are maintained in optimum condition.
Follow local and company health and safety guidelines at all times.
Take pride in your work at all times.
Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance
Experience within a main dealer (desirable but not essential)
Full clean UK driving licence
