GREAT OPPORTUNITY WITH THIS LEADING INDEPENDENT FIRM WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A HEAD OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

We are currently recruiting for a well-established quality multi branched agent in the South East London/North Kent Area.

My client is one of the market leaders in its field locally and are looking for a HEAD OF PROPERTY MANAGEMENT to lead an established team of Property Managers and Administrators.

SUMMARY OF JOB: Responsible to the Directors for overall management, development and profitability of Residential Property Management. To generate new business and retain existing clients by promoting and delivering a high standard of professional service. To instil and develop a good team spirit and ensure that staff are well trained/kept up-to-date in all aspects of Property Management.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To manage the team of property managers and pre tenancy administrators looking after a portfolio of circa 450 private residential properties
  • To provide an effective service to landlords and tenants and agreeing property management contracts/fees
  • To delegate the day-to-day running of the Department and oversee/check on progress
  • Responsible for income and expenditure
  • To deal with complex and sensitive issues/complaints; liaise with landlords and Property Managers as necessary. Present up-to-date reports on each matter at a quarterly review
  • To develop the Property Management team
  • To engender a culture of good public relations and customer care
  • To set a good example and high professional standards of work that others will follow
  • To oversee/arrange relevant in-house/out-of-house training
  • Rental invoicing (this task maybe delegated)

 PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Widespread knowledge, experience and understanding of related professional and technical issues
  • Proven management experience of staff and disciplinary procedures etc.
  • High standard of professional ethics
  • Excellent PR and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of related legal frameworks and current/previous legislation
  • Committed to providing high standard of customer care
  • Team leader and player
  • ARLA qualified ideally
