My Client, main car dealership is looking for a qualified COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TECHNICIAN to join their busy team.

This role offers the potential to progress with in the dealership based on your continued learning and development.

Successful applicants will have experience in commercial vehicle mechanics and will have opportunities to further their career with structured manufacturer and technical training. Van and Truck experience would be an advantage but are not essential.

Key responsibilities:

• To test vehicles and diagnose faults
• Report and recognise vehicle - component defects or symptoms of impending failure
• Complete job records
• Order replacement parts where required
• To service and repair vehicles – components to exacting standards
• Complete job records
• Order replacement parts where required

 Qualities:

• Previous experience in commercial mechanics
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A team player with the ability to use own initiative 
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• Qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3)
• UK Driving licence
• Computer literate
• Attention to detail with good problem solving skills
