Mortgage Advisor

The mortgage market is key in the UK economy and current growth is set to maintain this position going forward.

We have a limted number of Mortgage Adviser positions and this means that there are opportunities for motivated and driven individuals who wish to broaden their skills and develop their sales ability in this dynamic and diverse organisation.

Job Purpose
To provide an efficient and friendly service to all branch customers, through identifying customers' needs and providing appropriate solutions by meeting personal objectives and individual sales targets.
To assist Branch Manager in supervising Mortgage Arrangers and Customer Service Assistants and deputising for Branch Manager in their absence.

Key Accountabilities
Identifies customer needs and sales opportunities at the counter or sales desk and sell appropriate products and services.
Conducts mortgage interviews, providing advice and recommendations.
Follows up sales leads received from colleagues and previous customer contacts, maximising all opportunities to progress your branches performance against target.
Carries out additional responsibilities in the branch as agreed with management, such as lending administration, supervision and training of other staff.

Skills and Experience
Proven track record in business development.
Flexible and resilient team player.
Maths/English GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent.
Previous direct customer contact in a financial services or mortgage related environment
Good work ethic, initiative, and communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
Full CeMAP or equivalent qualification.
Saturdays are worked on a rota basis

In this position you will be providing a comprehensive mortgage, and mortgage related cross-sales sales service to a large customer base.

You will need you will need to be able to offer credible and knowledgable advice on these products in order to meet the customer needs and achieve performance targets for both yourself and the team.

Full CeMAP qualification is required. A proven track record of sales experience is essential as these are skills that you will need to ensure your success.
